About Tonya

Tonya McLaughlin is the Republican nominee for the 14th Court of Appeals, Place 4. She began her career in the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, where she advanced to the role of Felony Prosecutor and now runs her own successful law practice. With more than 18 years of legal experience, she has sat first chair on more than 50 jury trials and argued over 100 appeals.
Throughout her legal career, Tonya has leaned on her faith and strong values. She and her husband Reid have two children. They are members of Second Baptist Church and their children attend Second Baptist School. Tonya received her law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston.
