About Katy
Award-Winning, Board-Certified Appellate Lawyer
Katy Boatman is the Republican nominee for the 14th Court of Appeals, Place 6 and an award-winning civil appellate lawyer who has been practicing before the Houston Courts of Appeals for her entire 16-year career. She has appealed both civil and criminal cases ranging from due process and First Amendment issues to complicated oil and gas contract disputes. Her qualifications are unmatched.
Katy and her husband, Dr. Logan Boatman, have three children who attend public school. Dr. Boatman is a radiologist specializing in the detection of breast cancer and the medical director of Methodist Sugarland’s Breast Center. They attend Christ Presbyterian Church. Katy graduated with honors from Texas A&M University and Baylor Law School, where she served as executive editor of the Baylor Law Review. She clerked for Justice Dale Wainwright of the Texas Supreme Court and Judge Jennifer Elrod of the Fifth Circuit Court Of Appeals.
